SexOnWax welcome Namatjira from the Netherlands with this fantastic two tracker, sure to get you going. ‘Unknown Source’ starts with a gentle offering, floaty pads, that lead to a breakdown reminiscent of Omid 16B’s ‘In Between Your Choice’ bringing in a well toned basseline further backing the melodic structure to climax as it drops back in. ‘Mundo Anillo’ takes you straight into a more summer kicked back vibe with sweeping vocals, light melodic synths and warm harmonics. It’s all about the music here at SexOnWax so whilst Joost Van Der Vleuten aka Namatjira may not be a big name just yet, he has certainly put him self in line with making records that will touch the hearts of many for years to come. Acim – Waiting
posted by Egle P
New to Omid 16B’s Sexonwax imprint, Acim’s ‘Waiting’ packs a powerful summer punch. First up, the Dub Mix allows the crafted synth tones to breathe and resonate superbly; broad melodic expanses combine skilfully with ringing higher frequencies atop a solid bass groove. The Vox Mix adds an edited, chopped vocal phrase that compliments but doesn’t dominate, broadening the appeal of the track for personal and club listening. Dale Middleton’s ‘Copper Top’ receives the remix treatment from Derek Howell, working in synths chords and reverberant sax to lift the track for a dreamlike feel, while Middleton’s original utilises FM tones to great epic effect. Buy: https://pro.beatport.com/label/sexonwax-recordings/3695...
Ri Za – Going Mad
posted by Egle P
A warm welcome to Ri Za on Omid 16B’s SexOnWax imprint, and what a debut performance. The result, ‘Going Mad’, is a track infused with summer and fit for the beach, brewed with a distinguished female vocal and addictive melody. A synth heavy mix by Dark Soul Project is more apt for the dancefloor and concludes this dynamic two-track EP. Buy: https://pro.beatport.com/release/going-mad/1506708...

A fantastic rework by Roy Mclaren, who recently released on SOW with an epic and sturdy EP, closes the package nicely. Buy:https://pro.beatport.com/release/as-one/1494227...
Omid 16B presents Dale Middleton – Reincarnations #002...
posted by Egle P
The “Reincarnations” album series has been born of the creative endeavour of Omid 16B, with the aim of selectively guiding some of the scene’s most exciting, new DJ/Producers towards offering an interactive mergence of art, music and self expression. These are not your usual artist albums or compilation albums, where an ego is the focus, but a spontaneous venture, setting a new standard to how two creative minds can become one, and Dale Middleton’s instalment is one you don’t want to miss! Dale Middleton is undoubtedly one of the UK’s fastest rising stars on the global electronic music scene. He has developed his own style within the Progressive House and Techno musical blueprints, alongside his distinctive blend of DJing, to produce and play some of the most exciting music around. His monthly Subsidence Sounds radio show (www.friskyradio.com) has further increased global awareness of his unique talents. Dale Middleton has the ability to always bring something special to the party and this album project with Omid 16B is no exception. From the exceptional, melodic intro track (“Engage”, created specially for this album), Dale charts a course through some of his finest creations, alongside a peerless selection of complimentary electronic gems from similar-minded artists and remixers within the Sex On Wax/Alola labels’ catalogue. These include the chilled summer vibes of Kevin Di Serna’s remix of Omid 16B’s “Free”; the pure groove genius of Omid’s “On & Off”; Memory’s exceptional and uplifting “Freedom”; and a nod of respect to Arnas D’s (creator of the first instalment in the “Reincarnations” series) with the inclusion of his distinctive tough bassline remix of “Locked Groove”. The album also showcases a selection of Dale’s own distinctive creations: The ever excellent “So Much More” and “Audit & Purge” (two of Dale’s first releases on the label); “Thorn In My Side” with its attention-grabbing vocal; the tougher, bouncing bassline of “Copper Top” (again created specially for this album project); the genre blurring “Vertex” with its synth magic and the pulsating “Offset” (both also created just for this album); then there’s the heart-stopping euphoric genius of “Eggos”, Dale’s melodic masterpiece… Amidst all of this wonderful music, other label highlights have been carefully selected to cement the joyous creative vibe of the album. For many people, Danny Howells is a legend and his “Spikes” is one of Dale’s favourite tracks on Alola. “Best Things In A Very Short Time” revisits some classic SOS territory… “I first saw SOS play back in 2008, so when I was kindly asked to compile this album project I knew I wanted at least one SOS track to be part of it. This one stands out to me as it’s got such a cool feel and still sounds great dropped into the mix today.” – Dale Middleton Alola’s “Cascading” by Vanilla Ace is represented here, with Alex George giving the monstrous original his own unique remix twist, while “I Lost My Neck (Omid 16B Remix) left a big impression… “Amine Edge & Dance are two great DJs and this track showcases their production style so well. Omid drops such a good remix it just cried out to be part of the compilation. I love the tough bassline and how it drops into the mix almost by surprise.” – Dale Middleton With Vince Watson’s “Mystical Rhythm”(another producer that Dale admires immensely) fitting in perfectly before the cool outro of “Disembark”, Dale implements a stylish end to what has been a superbly engrossing musical journey. With skills like this, the future looks very bright for this young, rising star, and with music like this, the future of the electronic scene looks very positive indeed.
